Ayodhya: It was a landmark day in Ayodhya as Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the saffron flag atop the ‘shikhar’ of Ayodhya Ram Temple on November 25.

On the occasion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath graced the event. Addressing the event, CM Yogi Adityanath said the flag hoisting at the temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya 'is not the culmination of a yagya, but the beginning of a new era'.

What CM Yogi Adityanath said about Ram temple, Ram Rajya?

CM Yogi Adityanath said, "... This grand temple is the symbol of 140 crore Indians' faith and self-respect. I congratulate all the 'Karma yogis' who sacrificed themselves for this... This flag is the proof that the light of Dharma is immortal and the principles of Ram Rajya are timeless... When PM Modi became the prime minister in 2014, the faith that rose in the hearts of crores of Indians is now symbolised as this grand Ram Temple... This saffron flag symbolises Dharma, integrity, truth, justice and 'Rashtra Dharma'..."

He added, "... Empires and generations changed in the last 500 years. The only thing that did not change was faith... When RSS got the leadership, there was only one slogan prevalent, 'Ram Lalla hum aayenge. Mandir Wahin banayenge. Lathi Goli khayenge, Mandir Wahin banayenge'..."

What RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat said at the event?

RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat said, "The 'dhwaj' of Ram Rajya, which once flew high in Ayodhya and used to spread peace and prosperity to the world, is now seated at its 'shikhar' and we witnessed this happening. 'Dhwaj' is a symbol...It took time to build the temple. Even if you set aside the 500 years, it did take 30 years..."

Bhagwat added, "This is a significant day for all of us. Numerous people saw a dream, numerous people made efforts, and numerous people made sacrifices. Their souls must be full today. Ashok ji (Ashok Singhal) must have felt peace today.''

He added, ''Mahant Ramchandra Das ji Maharaj, Dalmia ji (senior VHP leader Vishnu Hari Dalmia) and numerous saints, people and students sacrificed their lives and worked hard. Those who were in the background also kept hoping for the construction of the temple. The temple has now been built, and today, the 'shastriya prakriya' of the temple has been performed. Dhwajarohan has been done today."
